FCPCS Quality Standards for Florida Charter Schools
FCPCS is committed to improving all aspects of quality in public charter schools and ensuring educational excellence of all students. In an effort to recognize and reinforce quality in our public charter schools, FCPCS developed the FCPCS Quality Standards for Florida Public Charter Schools.
The FCPCS Quality Standards address the many aspects of charter school operations that are essential for high student achievement, effective management and responsible governance. They can be used by any charter school to help identify its own strengths and weaknesses.
The Quality Standards are applicable to any type of charter school and support the independence of each charter school community. They are aligned with the quality standards of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI).
The FCPCS Quality Standards were developed by the Advisory Committee on Quality, a group of experienced charter school operators. We encourage all Florida charter schools and planning groups to use these standards as their benchmarks on the road to creating and improving their schools.
