Florida Consortium of Public Charter Schools Announces the Approval of its 2015-16 Teacher and Administrator Evaluation Systems for Member Schools
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – The Florida Consortium of Public Charter Schools (FCPCS) today announced it has obtained official approval for its 2015-16 evaluation plans for teachers, other instructional personnel and school-based administrators at FCPCS member schools. The FCPCS was formally notified of the approval by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, which contracted with the FCPCS to independently review and certify the evaluation plans for teachers and administrators at Florida charter schools.
Both the FCPCS Evaluation Systems for Classroom Teachers and Other Instructional Personnel and the FCPCS Evaluation System for School Based Administrators were approved by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt for use in Florida.
Prior to implementation, designated representatives from FCPCS member schools are required to undergo training on the evaluation tools via webinars. Once the designated representatives are trained, the evaluation tools are made available for use at their schools. Participating schools are required to post evaluation results their websites.
