November 8 General Election Follows August 30 Primary Election in Florida

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Florida Consortium of Public Charter Schools (FCPCS) has introduced a non-partisan website, www.FCPCSCharter.vote, with helpful voting information for all Florida voters.

The website includes information about voting by mail, where to vote in person, what to bring when voting in person, and how to correctly fill out a ballot. Information is easy to read and understand.

The website also includes voter registration information for the general election scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 8. The deadline to register to vote in November is Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2016.

Visitors to the website can check their voter registration status and get up-to-date information on current polling places.

“The FCPCS team is adding its collective voice to the effort to boost participation in Florida elections,” said FCPCS President Robert Haag. “Our goal is to provide information to help make it as easy as possible to register and vote.”

The Florida Consortium of Public Charter Schools (FCPCS) is the leading charter school membership association in the state, with a membership of nearly 75 percent of all operating charter schools. Since its inception in 1999, FCPCS has been dedicated to creating a national model of high quality, accredited public charter schools that are student-centered and performance-driven. FCPCS provides a wide array of technical support, mentoring, training, networking, and purchasing services to its membership, as well as serving as an advocate for all Florida public charter schools.
