Imagine Schools South Vero Wins Statewide Food Drive Conducted by Florida Consortium of Public Charter Schools
2,700 Canned Food Items Donated to Local Food Banks and Needy Families
VERO BEACH, Fla. – Imagine Schools South Vero has won a statewide food drive competition among member schools of the Florida Consortium of Public Charter Schools (FCPCS). Imagine South Vero Principal Chris Rock said the school’s canned food drive netted 2,700 items for local needy families.
In recognizing Imagine South Vero for collecting the most food items and winning the food drive, FCPCS President & CEO Robert Haag presented Principal Rock with a $1,000 Office Depot gift card for use by the school.
“FCPCS salutes the students, teachers and administrators of Imagine South Vero for making a difference in the lives of many of their neighbors,” said Haag. “Florida’s public charter schools work hard to positively impact their communities.”
Imagine South Vero is located at 6000 Fourth Street in Vero Beach. Principal Rock acknowledged the support of the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office in helping to transport the food.
“We want to share a special thank you to the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office for transporting the collected items to local food banks and needy families,” said Rock.
