More time needed to implement Common Core
The Florida Association of District School Superintendents and the Florida School Board Association will ask state legislators for a three-year extension before the Common Core State Standards have to be fully implemented into every classroom.
FCPCS supports this effort. Public charter schools also need more time to put in place infrastructures for technology, and provide teachers with more training.
