FCPCS Clinical Teaching and Field Experience ProgramBecome a Mentor Teacher and earn in-service pointsThis program is exclusively available to FCPCS Members.Mentor Teachers help new and future educators develop a highly effective teaching style by modeling and nurturing the skills and competencies required to deliver results-driven instruction and effectively manage a classroom. The FCPCS Clinical Teaching and Field Experience Program provides a comprehensive and carefully supervised learning experience for candidates enrolled in field experience or student teaching. In this program, the candidates demonstrate abilities as teachers in an actual school setting and develop their teaching style under the direction of a master teacher. The experience will provide the candidate with challenging and relevant opportunities to execute skills necessary to present instruction resulting in student interest and achievement. The candidate should find the experience as confirmation to entering the teaching profession and fulfilling a lifelong career as an educator. The program consists of three required training modules. The entire training and courses are self-guided. Upon completing the program, participants will be certified as a Clinical Educator and earn 50 in-service points for recertification renewal. A CT116 form will be provided and sent to the state. There is a $99 per-person cost associated with the training.
